Privacy and consent
I want you to know what happens with your information.
Young & Rising asks for personal details because the guidance becomes better when I understand your real situation. I will keep this plain.
What I collect
I may collect your name, email, age or date of birth, gender, location, education, employment status, life stage, interests, current pressure, support context, readiness, guidance preference, improvement priorities, assessment answers, results, CV details, and saved progress.
Who is responsible
Young & Rising is responsible for deciding how information is used on this platform. Privacy questions and formal data requests can be submitted through the account data centre while signed in. Public contact details and the applicable regulatory route must be added before public production launch.
Who may access information
Authorized administrators or mentors may access information needed to provide the feature you request. A result recipient can access only the result deliberately shared with them while the link remains active. Technical service providers may process information to host, secure, back up, or deliver the platform.
Automated recommendations
Recommendations may use personality dimensions, completed assessments, profile context, your chosen growth area, and sensitive topics you allowed. They are suggestions rather than clinical or legal decisions. Where personalized recommendations are displayed, the platform should explain why they appeared and let you dismiss them.
Retention and deletion
Information is retained while needed to provide the account and for defined security, safeguarding, legal, and operational purposes. A detailed category-by-category retention schedule is being finalized. Signed-in users can export their information and submit or cancel a deletion request through My data and consent. Backup removal may occur on a delayed cycle and must be documented before production launch.
Your controls
You can update your profile, review optional consent, download an account-data copy, revoke active result links, and request deletion from My data and consent. Optional research participation is separate from access to the core service.
Children and young people
Children require additional privacy and safeguarding protections. Sensitive minor-facing relationship and mentorship workflows must not be expanded until the platform's minimum-age, assent, caregiver-consent, safe-exception, and safeguarding procedures are operational.
Notice version
This notice is version privacy-2026.08, effective 4 August 2026. Material changes should be logged and brought to users' attention where renewed choice is required.
Why I collect it
I use your information to save your account, understand your personality profile, connect other assessment results to your situation, recommend useful next steps, and help you build tools like a CV.
What I will not do
I will not treat an assessment as a medical diagnosis. I will not sell your personal information. I will not pretend a tool knows your whole life better than you do.
Cookies
The site uses essential cookies for login sessions, security, and remembering simple choices like theme or cookie consent. If analytics or marketing cookies are added later, this notice should be updated before they are used.
Your choice
You can choose not to create an account. If you do create one, you are agreeing that Young & Rising may use your saved information to personalize your experience and recommendations.
